Aim


SME Honorary Instructors are formed by business owner and professionals who are in stable business organizations, willing to serve and willing to give back to the local communities. They are aiming to be the bridge between SME and the governments, accelerating smooth communication in between the two parties.

Services

  • Offering paper documentation:

    Any paper documentations that are received from business networking, participating in seminars, trainings and forums can be forward for reference.
  • Solution Guidance:

    Upon any operational problems, the organization can offer the appropriate government contact window to help resolve the problems as soon.
  • Exchanging Experiences:

    By exchanging operational and technical experiences with others in the same industry can assist the overall growth of the industry.
  • Feedback:

    During communication with industries, any suggestions for the government are encouraged to use paper documented feedback and forward to related departments.
  • Activity:

    By joining international/national forums and seminars to strengthen appropriate skills for both operation and professional needs, such experiences are then share with other SME.
  • Service Window:

    By telephone, on-site assessment and stationed in local SME service center, using local SME Service Volunteer Association and SME Service Volunteer (SME Honorary Instructors) organizational skills, to offer consultation and guidance services for operation, financial, technical difficulties, as well as transferring to appropriate organization.
  • SME Service Volunteer (SME Honorary Instructors) are professionals who have gained general volunteer training, contains no criminal and bank rejection records, who are also enthusiastic about local business development and possess the ability of delivering government policy and exchanging professional experiences. If you have these characteristics, and you meet one of the following :
    1. A business owner or manager who have five years (and above) experiences in operating a good organization.
    2. A professional manager who have five years (and above) of professional technical experiences.
    3. A retired (from public or private sector) professional who have five years (and above) operational and technical experiences.
    4. A business owner or manager which the business or personally received either National SME Award, the Rising Star Award, the SME Innovation Research Award or the Youth Career Development Award (including oversea).
    5. Any RD personnel who has won our master or doctor thesis awards or other research awards that are in assisting SME development in financing, operation, innovation and incubation, information technology application or government policy analysis.

    PLUS you have :
    Received general volunteer training certificate.
    No bank rejection and criminal records.

    Local SME Service Volunteer (SME Honorary Instructors) are volunteer job (without payroll) for a year.

    Before May 31th every year, you can visit local of SME Service Volunteer Association for application. The application will be reviewed by local SME Service Volunteer Association and forward to the organization for final selection. Any application which is received after Jun 1st will automatically be reviewed and appointed for the following year.

    Nominated local SME Service Volunteer (SME Honorary Instructors)candidates will need to receive special volunteer training and pass the final selection to receive the certificate, volunteer license, badge and volunteer service record booklet as a qualified SME Service Volunteer (SME Honorary Instructors). Government executive will be invited to join and distribute the certificate in the praising ceremony.

    1. Establishing SME Service Volunteer (SME Honorary Instructors) personal profiles, assessing and registering current activities.
    2. Assisting on networking between all SME Service Volunteer (SME Honorary Instructors).
    3. Exchanging visiting experiences of SME Service Volunteer (SME Honorary Instructors).
    4. Assisting the government to organize SME related seminars and forums.
    5. Any commitment service received from public or private sectors.
    6. Offering updated information and delivering government policies.
    7. Forwarding any suggestions from any SME Service Volunteer (SME Honorary Instructors) to assist the government in stipulating policy.
    8. Exchanging any suggestions that are related to the development of SME Service Volunteer (SME Honorary Instructors).
    9. Promoting SME Service Volunteer (SME Honorary Instructors)activities.
    10. All other matters that are required by law and policy.
